I would absolutely buy an actual plasticky replica of backpack-threepio. It would be so cool. Meanwhile there's a softy plush version for people who spent money on the giant iPhone.

I did a Star Wars themed b-day party for a dozen six year olds a while back and had them all complete a round of events in a Jedi training academy. One of the events was that they all had to complete an obstacle course under a certain time. They of course had to complete it wearing this:

The kids loved it. Alisa outdid herself and hand-made a dozen Jedi robes, and the whole think culminated in the mob descending on a death star pinata with their light sabers.
