Stuart was the co-founder of Flickr. Which was once upon a time part of Game Neverending, a game that never got finished due to Flickr becoming Suddenly Huge...
And now here's Glitch. In short: a non-sharded Oneworld in which you nonviolently Adventure with your Friends and encounter lots of Things To Do done in many Graphical Styles.(There's a vid on the site which unfortunately I can't embed here (no option in the player that I can see), so you'll have to head over there to see it.)
Daniel Terdiman's already done an indepth look, which is definitely worth a read.
Beautiful and wonderful springs to mind (as does "competition for Whirled"), and with such a talented development team (including @iamcal, one of the most hardcore WoWers I know) I think they're going to have a lot of fun with this...
Glitch.com and @playglitch.

Given that we just lost a competitor, we're due for another. Besides, this doesn't look like it's directly about player-created content, more of a MUD than a MOO.
In any case, it's not like we're exactly owning the space right now!
I was chuffed that Stewart included Puzzle Pirates in the alpha test sign up questionairre!

gOds, I know. I want to get rid of googleads, but haven't got round to it. Might ban 'em. I so don't care about the ad content at all.
I hope the competition point didn't come across as bad, cos I did mean it in the Awesome sense. I love Whirled. I'm hoping you're going to do a How's The Whirled pres at GDC ;-)
