Mine eyes rolleth over. Pasting web2doh onto a traditional MMO makes not a revolution... and does nobody spot the elephantine lunacy of saying 'must be on a console' in the same presentation as 'more open'?


I'm amazed that MMOs aren't web-integrated to that extent already. In fact, I get the impression that WoW and EVE (and the other major ones) pretty much are, it's just that the tools have emerged from the community rather than the developer.

I also thought the console bit was incongruous. Playing the game on your console and then accessing the community on your PC is convoluted. Sounds like he's trying to justify Turbine investing heavily in console clients. Guess that LOTR license needs to pay for itself somehow.
