OMG etsy rummage

Those wiimote earrings were like a gateway drug, they pulled me deeper into Etsy whereupon I found these completely wonderful things.

We had a going-away party last night, and I got us a Portal cake.

Howzat for splendour. It was massive, too, fed at least 20 people.

Another Fire Emblem for the DS: Dec 5th

Oh new Fire Emblem on Dec 5th! My DS has been gathering dust on my windowsill, but here's a very nice reason to unpack it again.

Nintendo has announced that Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon will be out in Europe on 5th December. That's before the US, for once.

Shadow Dragon is a remake of the original NES Fire Emblem, and returns with futuristic features like Wi-Fi multiplayer, where friends can fight and shop and chat.

The RPG also has extra scenarios and difficult levels, plus touch-screen controls, bonkers characters, permanent secondary character death and some of the better additions to the long-running series such as the weapon triangle.

Bonkers characters?! Perma secondary character death is such a winner. It made me play through Fire Emblem: Sacred Stones three times, that did, and I never could keep that purple girl on the flying unicorn alive for more than a few levels.

36 characters in WoW at the same time

Here is someone who is brilliantly clackalacka mental*.

For my keys to send to all instances of WoW on my 11 computers, I use   Octopus 1.3.2. Maximizer in Octopus allows me to start up all WoW instances at   the same time or any individual instance such as if a WoW instance has   crashed. It also allows me to shutdown all of the computers at the same   time.

This chap really needs to get a job as an air traffic controller, or possibly Head of Operations at NASA. He's probably worth his weight in gold. Which is to say, an extra lot, in this economy.

(*see Kim, I told you I was a goner the moment you said this phrase. I've used it three times today.)
