It's cute how MTV still thinks it's relevant.

This will of course, being from Viacom, fail along predictable lines. Either it will be an immutable theme park for hawking their and their sponsors' products, or it will allow user-generated content and rapidly descend into an IP police state. Either way, users will abandom it en masse as another expensive flop. But I'm sure we'll be able to download ringtones from it.

Viacom owns Harmonix, which produces the Guitar Hero franchise. Otherwise they're complete failures at new media.

Yes I'm old. Old enough to remember when the MCP was just a chess program, and MTV played music.
