Here's an interesting-looking conference: the NetSquared conf, "remixing the web for social change".
In May 2007, 350 members of the NetSquared community are invited to the Cisco campus to participate in accelerating 20 great projects that utilize the technologies, tools and communities of the social web to create societal impact in a sustainable fashion.
We will accelerate these projects by providing cash awards from the newly created Technology Innovation Fund and by connecting them with funders, developers, ntaps, and other people and organizations that can help the projects attain the next level.
They've a competition on at the moment: submit ideas for social change nonprofits using any tech you like, and the winners will get resources, cash and support:
NetSquared Year Two (N2Y2) <http://www.netsquared.org/2007
/conference> is set for May 29 & 30 in San Jose, and we're looking for talented, engaged developers, hackers, nonprofits, etc. to propose cool new tech projects for social good. Submit project nominations to <http://www.netsquared.org /projects/nominate> by midnight PST on April 6th.
Time's running out!
(Thanks Jen!)
A lot of the same people go to Web of Change (http://www.webofchange.com/), which is a conference that I attended last year.

Hey - you're the official "typepad" blog today. That's the first time I've seen a blog I know listed as the official "typepad" blog. Congrats!
