Japan price confirmed at $212, and you'll be wanting Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess with that at around fifty bucks. What a bargain! Three wiis for the price of one PS3. Plus it's out in December. The US version is $250, and the Euro version? Can't find any prices yet, but I expect it'll be the most expensive of the three, we usually get the short straw.
I may well go import on this one, just for the hell of it. Can't be worse than trying to get a UK xbox 360 to work in the US. Yes, I'm still hunting for a power cord; I keep missing the eBay auctions ($100 for the brick set! That's half a damn Wii!).
Wii.com has launched in Japan, too, with the other territories coming soon. Curiously, they have news and weather channels on the site, the two things that the BBC is famous/most-used for.
Fancy that, a gaming company doing a bit of broadcasting..
It is WELL worth importing a Nintendo console as I found out with the GameCube, they really suck for releasing games in Europe months after the US.
