I honestly think that Ninty's new series of lifestyle ads for the DS Lite (the Wii is shaping up to look similarly up-to-date and fresh) are going to pretty much single-handedly change the face of gaming.
When people see ads like these, gaming may no longer seem quite so shameful and violent and laddish. It wasn't really rocket science, was it? I'm very proud of Nintendo these days. They're just getting it so very right.
Guilded Lilies has been having fun with all the whitespace:
I think it's fair to say that ukresistance had a bit of fun with these ads as well...

Make product white - Check!
Put an "i" wherever possible in product name - Check!
Make lifestyle advert focusing on user being cool rather than product itself - Check!
I see Nintendo is following the Jobs 12 Step Program to sucess.
The last one is "Make Profit" the 3rd to last is "Steal Underpants".

Though the rumoured price of the Wii is £150, whereas Apple tends more toward Sony on the pricing side of things.
