If you've played 'America's Army' you'll know it's clunky, user-unfriendly, over-hyped and generally lacklustre.

Authentic simulation?


This goes hand in hand with the tv commercials here in the US that are airing for the US Army and Marines. They are unbelievably misleading and propagandistic. One has a father saying something like, "You know, this is the first time you've shaken my hand and looked me in they eye". Several others have kids telling their parents that they have found someone who will pay for college, etc.

Of course none mention that almost all recruits today are being mainlined into 11B status (combat infantry), not support MOS's. Another strange thing is that you never see Air Force or Navy ads airing anymore .....
