There'll be plenty more of this kinda thing to come. Plenty. Corrie Nation over in the UK is just out - the also-bobble-headed TV license Facebook game, but lumpier and dowdier than CSI, of course. Also, oh gods, the Corrie-style trumpet music. Dedicated fans only there, I think.
Inside Social Games has the writeup to accompany their graphic, but you could summarise by saying, the top lot haven't changed much, and that most games are losing players, except new games, which are gaining some.
One thing that sticks out for me is Poker at #2 (and it's been thus since forever), yet there are few - if any? - gambling games in the rest of the 25. Gambling is - sadly - really popular. Am I missing something: why no blackjack, or similar?
I suspect there will be an influx - soon - of TV gambling show apps, as Endemol has starting up a games company, as has Freemantle, and of course BBC WW has a games dept too. TV game shows are, usually, very glamorous gambling (Quiz shows are quizzes. Game shows tend to be gambling, cf Million Pound Drop, or Deal or No Deal). It's rare that we have Play shows, but they have existed, like Challenge Annika and the like).
Gambling makes a ton of cash, yet only one gambling app in the Top 25. I'm glad for that, but will it stay that way?
