Here's Wossy's daughter wearing her new Sims 3 plumbob headband (probably the UK's most celeb gaming family, this). That's what it's called, a plumbob. Although don't urban-dictionary it, because ewwwww!
Anyway - I can't find any link to where you can get these things - they're given away in Singapore? - but you could make one?

Perhaps, rather than the Urban Dictionary definition, it comes from "plumb bob". The shape is reminiscent to a degree, and I suppose one could make a vague connection to something being "in plumb" (i.e. square or level) and the mood or emotional state of a SIM.
Just a thought.
