I love Peter M. And I really, really want to have a go at talking to Milo.
Can it really be that unscripted?

Almost all of what she is saying is being ignored entirely, and the "Thousands of people" is obviously scripted.. Can't imagine that would be a priority in the voice acting script..

Wow, I didn't really 'get it' until I noticed her reflection in the pond...
Lovely.
I recognised that voice too... Fable? :P
Maybe Fable 3 will REALLY be the BEST GAME EVER MADE. C'mon, Molyneux, it's been a while since you actually delivered in a promise... *crosses fingers*

I thought Natal looked pretty good until I saw the obviously staged video reel (Natal takes snap of skateboard and uses it in game - with Natal magically airbrushing out the kid's fingers he was holding with?) and then Milo turned me off completely with the suggestion that Lionhead had come up with AI that could not only pass the Turing test, but do it by understanding natural speech and responding in kind.
No. No, no, no.
Maybe one day, but if anything remotely close to what was being implicitly claimed for Milo makes it to market in the next two to five years I will be amazed.
I'd see something like OnLive being far more of a game changer for the industry in the medium term than Natal and Milo.

I'm waiting for a red top to run the story where "Evil PERVERTS are using a sinister GAME to practise their GROOMING on DIGITAL CHILDREN."

Cool demo but MAN he was laying it on a little thick wasn't he?
Ugh.

Telling that most of the comments I've read about Milo since Natal was revealed haven't been about the technology, but jokes about paedophilia.

The video is less scripted than Seaman, but obviously we don't have AI that can take apart sentence structure and glean truth being words. So he's mostly tracking emotion and tone of voice with a limited vocabulary. At least that's what I understood from those who spoke to the developer
