YoVille seems to be growing rapidly, hitting 7.8m monthly active users across Facebook and MySpace - and it's not even a year old yet!
Virtual World News says:
In terms of content, YoVille is similar to a virtual world but has lots
of features designed to exploit the fact that it runs within an
already-extant social network. A YoVille player can invite other users
off their friendslist into the game and create in-game friends lists,
too. When Facebook or MySpace friends are on at the same time, YoVille
can essentially be used as a graphical interface for interacting in
real time. The game even has a virtual whiteboard users can draw on
while chatting, which actually lead to some users buying whiteboard art
from others with in-game currency.
Sounds like it's a fairly bog standard avatar-and-apartment setup, with microtransactions and a microcurrency. Avatars are very straightforward, with few options at start, but I did seem to land straight in a room with two real-life pals, Eric and Mimi.

I don't seem to be able to talk out loud, nor actually do very much. But 8 million people can't be wrong (CAN THEY?!) so there must be something compelling in here...
A lot of people are now leaving yoville due to the change in how coins are earned. Now you have to spend a lot of time baking sweets in the sweet factory. No one likes it and a lot of people are leaving because the widget factory is now gone.

for some reason when I visit alot of my buddies apartments i can no longer see their furniture

If they lock their apartments, rooms, or houses, then you won't see their furniture when you visit.Have them leave their rooms unlocked.

The sweet's factory does indeed suck in Yoville.
Just stop going to it and learn to hack the game to get coins, yo points, furniture, costumes, etc., instead.
The web is filled with hack techniques. Just don't send your userid and password to anyone - that is simply dumb.
