This game was very important to me. Someone spent 4 months cross-stitching this map, so I guess it was to them too. Amazing stuff.

Wow, that's brilliant.
I'm slightly surprised by how familiar that map still is, considering that my awful memory can only dredge up a few small details about the actual game.
