Nerdy xmas tree, pt IV
The hunt continues. Lots and lots of stuff from the same shop in this haul, but also a priceless gem of an ornament: a hand-tooled wooly Flying Spaghetti Monster, as adored by the Boingers. No wai.
This rarity ships at $33. (There's also a giant FSM tree topper available...)
Up next, various Star Wars classics, all from hookedonhallmark. Seems Hallmark US has a longstanding tradition of churning out decent SW knickknacks every year; some of these are almost vintage. My fave? The Max Rebo Band ornament set going for a very reasonable twelve bucks:
There's a whole ton of similar over at that site; I've picked out a Chewie, a Tie-fighter/Falcon combo and and a Threepio and Artoo pairing.
These fellas need balancing with something .. je ne sais quoi. I could swear I've posted these before: the laptop ornament:
And a trio of Vegas-themed glass ornaments, including a slot machine.
I know that's not trad nerd, but Vegas does have the Star Trek Experience and the brilliant trekkie bar in the Hilton, and it's host to various nerdvana conferences, like the annual Sony Online Fan Faire or, heck, CES. (Okay, maybe that's pushing it.)
Something I can't find is a set of D&D dice ornaments, like d20s on gold string. There's an Etsy item if there ever was one. A handful of these could work, though..

And lastly, back to Star Wars, but only because I find these two completely hilarious:
Yes, that's Chewbacca. Superb.
UPDATE: I forgot! This lovely, big, plastic Serenity ornament. I think it's designed for hanging on trees, but it might be a standard nerdament, not sure - but it doesn't look like it'd be too heavy, not for a big tree or a good, eco, replica one.
