Commodore Hero

MAKE:blog's Phil has found Toni, who decided to hook up a Guitar Hero guitarstick to a Commodore 64, at which point she plans to program a whole new game for the 64. Why? Ask not why, but why not, of course.

I recently attended the TPUG Commodore convention in Toronto Canada, and I found hundreds of people still very much interested in the Commodore 64 and expanding its capabilities, even today. I saw some awesome demos of people building network adapters, online games, MIDI interfaces, and other cool stuff for their C64s. I fell in love with the idea - I love the C64 and I love hacking around with software and hardware alike, so I figured this would be the perfect project! Around the same time I had also read about Jeri Ellsworth and her amazing work and success with recreating the C64, and I was just really inspired all around.

Great stuff. You can hear the very entertaining results here.

C64's music chip rawks, so many good tunes from yesteryears games.

Spectrum 128+2 ftw though :P

Yeah SID was the only thing the C64 had over the Speccy 128+2 :-)

::Gasp!:: You were in my home city and I didn't know. Some stalker I am...

Commodore Hero? Nay.

I say it is *Toni* who is my hero.

Bravo, madam, bravo!
