Total in-joke this one: if you've played World of Warcraft, and made it to level 10, you'll have visited The Barrens, essentially a 'newbie learning zone'. The chat .. oh god. This is before the WoW obsession has really kicked in, see, when chat turns to the intricacies of Tier 2 set choices, or weapon stats, or whether Frost spec really kicks Fire spec mages' butts or not. Barrens chat is nothing of the kind: a combination of tits&ass talk, your-mum jokes, and Chuck Norris shout-outs.
At level 60, most folk have seen fit to drop the Chuck Norris shout-outs (I wonder if he knows he's a net-teen legend?). The T&A and your-mum jokes remain, of course, but by this point they're in the Looking For Group channel.
Plus ca change...
(For you Taurens, there's a lovely Camp Taurajo tee. Me, I'm lusting after the Horde tee. Comes in ladyshape!)
(Thx to the Terranovans for that one)

Is there one for Elwyn Forest? I suspect not starting as Horde (and cutting off general chat early on) meant I always missed this. (Starting my first two chars as NightElfs helped avoid it, too)
As to the question about Chuck Norris -- at my girlfriend's house one day, she had stopped for a moment on some CMT or ESPN talk show and Chuck Norris was on. They were reading him some of the Chuck Norris quotes, generally laughing it up. So, I suspect he does know:)

That Horde T-Shirt is good. I was going to put together something like that (but not as good) for some of the races I did over the summer. Maybe I still will for the winter events...
