Hi-tech quilts

Carolyn Lee Vehslage is a fiber artist who makes art quilts using recycled computer and phone components:

When I'm not working on landscape and seascape commissions for my clients, my own artwork is a study about technology's impact on our lives. With titles such as "Fried Circuits", "System Overload", "Keyboard Lockup" "Motherboard Meltdown", "Cyber Chick", "Techno Jam", "Mixed Media" and "Terminal Eyestrain" the Computer Collages have struck a responsive chord with many viewers. They bring out feelings of how microchips have infiltrated and complicated our daily routines. All these automated gadgets were supposed to make our lives simpler; but the benefits come hand-in-hand with new sources of stress.

I quite like the Keyboard Lockup series. Brrr!
