MMOGs as communities

[Rich] Vogel says an MMOG is foremostly a place for people to gather. “That's what communities are,” he says, adding that they are “a place to vent passionately,” too.

Rich hasn't been with SOE for a while now.

The talk sounds like it was maybe an updated version of the one he and I did at GDC a few years back, and which I just put back up on my website:
