Newsworthy diseases

The BBC has reported on World of Warcraft's recent plague. I'm SO pleased with this. The article is the reassuring BBC that you know and love. But think a sec - the BBC, venerable news AT-AT that it is, is reporting on the WoW plague.

Is that a sign 'o the times, or what?

Yep - it's great isn't it! I love the BBC...for such an old stuffy institution they're so 'hip'! Biggest website I've ever come across too... and now with pod-casting, programme downloads I htink people are seriously underestimating their place in the push towards a new digital era...

It still feels.... I don't know... wrong to be reading about such an "unreal" piece of news from the most trusted of news broadcasters..

It doesn't feel like real news..

It's true and it's interesting, that's the practical definition of real news.

It's probably the easiest in-game story to explain as a regular news story, but now that they've done it perhaps they'll look at some of the more interesting stuff going on in games. I'd love to live in a world where the BBC have a dedicated Eve Online correspondant.
