Gizmondo goes for the ladies
OK, I {heart} gizmondo now.
I get a facial twitch when I read about Gizmondo; they must either have a Super Plan and be world-dominating geniuses, or they're the walking dead. I thought the latter, based on their spending pattern, but I'm beginning to think it's the former. Latest spectacular cash burn: they've bought a modelling agency (haha! really!) so they can have an unlimited supply of female models to model their gear.
And no, not booth babes. Modern young women. Normal girls (albeit a bit skinny). Gamasutra continues:
In fact, Carl Freer, Gizmondo's managing director, is quoted on the Isis Models official website as indicating: "We see the future of microelectronics, catering for the needs of women, and specifically young dynamic and above all successful women.. This product will complement, and is a natural development for, our highly successful and state of the art telematics device launched at E3 earlier this year."
"Buy Gizmondo"
A seekrit, girl-specific, electronic product! The mind boggles! Whatever it is, I want one!

I have seen a TV program about how it was so difficult for western companies to get a market started in China because chinese women didn't know how to apply 'modern' makeup and how it wasn't cultural for them.

That is an *average* (if skinny) girl? OK - I thought Hollywood was already flooded with cuties, but if that's average for you, I'll say goodbye to my tent and the old caravan and move to the UK.

Yes, good point. I meant normal as opposed to zeppelin-breasted, frosty-hair types.
But this lot are all waify clothes models.
Either way, it's bloody curious.
Oh and deOS, women aren't ALL babies and lipstick! *slap*
:)

"Oh and deOS, women aren't ALL babies and lipstick! "
