Errr, he has always had a nose. I remember it from Pacmania on the Spectrum - http://images.google.com/images?q=pacmania - and I'm sure all 3d pics of him on arcade machines have had the nose too.

Hmf. Well he doesn't on-screen. The cartoon - I grudgingly concede - does have a nose, but it's still wrong :)
Actually, I was expecting a 'so how does he smell' kind of response.
