2 things

From msoft research: DateLens (from the brief demo: ugly, complicated, probably useless in its current state, sorry MSoft) and 3D Journal.  Quite cool if you're good at drawing in 3D.

If you watch the demo video when he resizes the application window you can see itunes along with picasa and firebird... whoops

DateLens is not from MSR.. It's from the University of Maryland. At least, that's what the Maryland folks said when I saw it at CHI2003:

I actually liked it a lot then... I hope DateLens hasn't been corrupted too much since then, it was nice and simple and elegant.
