EA's opened a game innovation lab.

"Representatives from Electronic Arts and the University Of South California's School of Cinema-Television have unveiled the EA Game Innovation Lab at USC's Robert Zemeckis Center for Digital Arts, located in downtown Los Angeles. The lab has been created to act as a state-of-the-art research space and think tank for game design and creation.

Electronic Arts officials previously announced a multi-million dollar donation to the school earlier in the year, to help fund a three year Master of Fine Arts program within the school’s Division of Interactive Media."

I went for my first group foray

Digital life is very surreal.

On a side note, the SOE team are now offering account transfers - as a premium purchase. 30 bucks to move your character to a different server, but all assets (my bike!!) would remain behind. So I could move to a European server and have better luck at finding people awake, or I could stay in the US and play with the hardcore.

See how the thought of paying 30 bucks to move my intangible asset from one intangible server to another doesn't faze (much)? Odd, isn't it.

Damned if I can work these Finnish keyboards. Out here for foe's hen night, so helsinki better watch out. For those of you who were here last year at the summit thing - the beer cow is still in that window, sauna bad is still there, the torni is wrapped to the tip in scaffolding (boo) so no perma-sunset cocktails with a view... and damn orange mobile email is a total arse so I can't moblog embarrassing photos. I'm sure Foe will be happy about that...
